March brings Lent and the Easter season has begun. Also, it brings St. Patrick's Day. And St. Patrick has a good testimony of his own.

THIS MONTH'S SCRIPTURE:

March:

1 Peter 5:6-7

" So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."

FAMILY (GAME) TIME

Ways to Celebrate St Patrick's Day Together:

1. Eat Lucky Charms or green pancakes for breakfast.

2. Buy some chocolate gold coins and hide them around the house to find.

3. Bake some green shamrock cookies. HERE is an idea for some.

4. Find out about St. Patrick. (Yes, he was a real person who loved Jesus.)

See the Veggie Tales story or read through the National Geographic history.

5. Wear green.

6. Make an Irish dinner!

March Madness  -

Basketball time!

Materials: Varies

Bucket basketball

Set up a bucket or deep bowl and take your shot. Chair or counter height works great for littles. Shoot cotton balls or small nerf balls. See who can make a shot from the greatest distance.

Trashketball

Wad up sheets of paper and shoot into trash cans. Play a game of H-O-R-S-E or “Around the World”. Don’t forget to yell “Kobe” when you shoot.

Balloon Basketball

Seems easy enough, right? Grab an even number of players and set up “baskets” at each end of the room. Teammates pass the balloon back and forth to each other, while keeping it away from the opposing team, and shooting baskets.
