Holy Week: Wednesday

QUIET TIME IN A JAR:

Step 1: Gather your supplies: 

*Jar with sealable lid

*Water

*Some type of oil (baby oil, etc)

*Food coloring

Step 2: Fill your bottle/jar 1/2 way up with water.

Step 3: Add A few drops of food coloring to the water. Put the top on SECURELY and shake it to mix the food coloring into the water. 

​

Step 4: Open the bottle/jar and fill it up the rest of the way with oil. (*Note: You can change the proportions on this and do 2/3 water and 1/2 oil)

Step 5: Seal the bottle/jar SECURELY  and you have your quiet time shaker. Shake the bottle and watch as the "bubbles" bounce around and eventually rest. 

 

 

Today let's remember that Jesus always took the time to rest. It would seem that even on Wednesday of this week, He may have been doing just that with His disciples. Some things had been hectic the last two days. Just like our jar when it shaken. But if we wait, the bubbles all calm down and our jar looks peaceful again. God designed us to need rest. Let's make sure we take that once a week so we can be healthy Christians!
